Fabric recommendation

Outer fabric: The pattern can be used for all woven fabrics. It is not suitable for stretchy fabrics.

Cotton and linen fabrics are ideal for summer dirndls as they are light and breathable. Special types of fabric such as jacquard and brocade give dirndl dresses a sophisticated appearance and are ideal for festive occasions. Particularly fine and high-quality traditional costumes are made of velvet and silk. Both a wool fabric and loden are suitable for this dirndl, whereby loden is warming, water-repellent and robust. This allows for the creation of many different styles of dirndls.

Lining: Cotton fabrics are best suited for lining. They are comfortable to wear, breathable and easy to clean.

Interlining: It must be matched to the outer fabric. If you are unsure, please seek advice from a specialist retailer.
