FAQ

  • Which size should I choose?

To find the right size, measure your chest and waist with the right underwear. Then please compare your body measurements with my size chart and base your choice on your bust measurement. The width measurements in the size chart cover a range “from to”. Please note: If your body measurement is at the lower end of the range, the dirndl will fit tightly; if it is at the upper end, it will fit loosely.

  • Which size should I choose if my body measurements are between sizes?

It is advisable to always choose the size that corresponds to your bust measurement. Following on from this, the front length also fits if the bust width is appropriate. The waist size is easier to adjust. If your bust measurement is between two sizes, choose the smaller size as a dirndl is a tight-fitting garment.

  • Why are most patterns only available in single sizes?

Firstly: If only one size has to be shown on the paper sheet, it is clearer and the seam allowance can be visibly marked. This saves time and no errors are made when copying. Second: Usually only one size is needed, the rest goes into the trash or archive and is often no longer used. Thirdly: With the sale of individual sizes, the unauthorized and legally prohibited resale of my patterns becomes a little less attractive for fraudsters.

  • Can I use the patterns commercially?

My patterns can be used commercially to sew clothing and then sell it. However, reproducing, modifying and reselling the patterns is strictly prohibited and will be prosecuted. Please contact me if you intend to design a collection and would like to use my patterns for it. We can discuss possible discounts and possible pattern changes requests.
